Pant Shop Pro
6 and 7

I made this with no outside filters and used only textures that are found in PSP .. you of course can use what ever you like to make it with:)  I did get a little lazy, made selections for everything, so they go together fast but you get to decorate it how ever you want:)  Here is ZIP FILE, download it and export the SEL's into your selction folder.  If you do not have a selection folder then make one under your PSP folder (or where ever you keep your items for PSP)

If you know PSP7 then you may skip past the BLUE areas they are to show new users how to set certain styles and tools.

If you Know PSP6 then you may skip past the GREEN areas they are to show new users how to set certain styles and tools

Remember

Left click and hold on the 3rd and forth button also to turn them OFF .. if they are off then do not worry about it.  The off/null button is the first one on the right.

PSP6 Choose your flood fill tool, then open your tool options window.  Use the pull down window for Fill Style and choose Linear Gradient.  Blend Normal, paper none, match RGB, tolerance 100, Opacity 100.  Now click on the SECOND icon at the top of the Tool Options window, use the pull down window and find #1Foreground/Background (probably on top) then put 140 in Angle, and 0 in Repeats.

Go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible

Yours is bigger ( notice I turned my background back on:)

Open your layer palette and turn your background back on IF you want to.  I really just wanted it there so you could see the the green does how well and it was not to light:)

Make your Background color white  (just click on the little arrow between the two colors and they will switch places)

PSP6 when your text box comes up in the next step then click on the LARGE box in the middle and choose white (I use white with the gold preset because it looks better)
Use your text tool set to any font you want .. you want it small so that the text will fit in the text boxes of your SunCatcher.  I am using Black Chancery set at 20. You use wt ever font you want, you may have to adjust the font size. Type in your first word and Click OK .. use your mouse to move it to the center of your top text box.  I typed Always

Apply the Gold Sculpture effect twice to the text and recenter if needed.

Use your text tool again and type in Welcome .. apply the Gold sculpture twice again and center the text in the bottom box.

I would REALLY remember to save right about now!!!

Click on the X's to turn on your other layers.  Right click on each layer and RENAME it .. THe bottom is the Background (should already be named such) the Next layer is the SunCatcher, the top layer is the Clover

Use your Mover tool  and move your clover over the left, you may put it anywhere you like

Yours is bigger

NOW, CTRL C to copy that clover .. then CTRL E to paste it as a new selection, move it around the screen until you find where you like it then click your mouse to set it .. CTRL E again to place another one .. do this until you have 2 to 3 sets of Clovers on your image.

Yours is bigger

OK, when you are done with placing your Clovers then CTRL D to deselect the last one.

Open your layer Palette and highlight SunCatcher .. Right click and choose New Raster Layer .. Name it stems, click OK

Switch your foreground color to white again.

Use your Draw tool set to Freehand line, Antialias, line width 5, Solid line (STROKED for PSP6 users)

PSP7 you will need to turn off your second style palette for this.  Left click and hold on the palette then when the 4 icons pop up choose the last one on the right.
You are going to draw a stem from the center of each clover out on to the SunCatcher.  We are working on a layer that is between the clover and the suncatcher, so you may not see the line you are drawing right away, just start in the middle and do something like this

I made mine green so you can see it

Draw your stems from each Clover .. here is what look like in Green .. try and not to cross over any other stem, because we are going to apply the Gold Sculpture and if you do, then you may get a lump:)

Yours is bigger and you do not need to copy mine, just do what you think is nice.

Go to
Image, Effect, Blinds ..
Effects, Textures Effects, Blinds ..
apply the same settings that we used at the begining .. if you have not done anything with it then it will be the same, just click OK

Now apply your Gold Sculpture ...

This is mine

Open your Layer palette and Click on the backgrounds glasses to make it invisable ..

Go to layers, merge, merge visiable ... Save how you want to save it.

If you want to save this as a tube then go to Edit, Copy, edit, paste as new IMAGE .. (this will give you just your graphic with no background layer)

Go to FILE, EXPORT, PICTURE TUBE .. when that window comes up type the name for your suncatcher in the lower right hand spot .. you do not need to add the extension, the program will do that.  Click OK
