Okay, it
occurred to me that smite sucks balls; at level 20 a paladin can do to only
evil creatures over five hits what a fighter level 20 can do to any one
over about 10-15 hits, and still keep going and at lower levels after
level 4 it is only sicker.
IMPORVED SMITE [Special]
Prerequisites: charisma 13, Smite ability +1
Benefit: The damage dice of your smite increases one size, to deal d8s. Additionally, the damage over comes DR/ magic and if it had a specific alignment if it bypasses DR as if it had that specific alignment associated with it.
Example a half celestial’s smite evil, would by pass DR/good and deal an extra 1d8 holy damage. A champion of Dominion’s smite good would bypass DR /good
-Greater Smite [Special]
Prerequisites: charisma 15, Smite ability, Improved Smite, Base Attack Bonus +4
Benefit: The extra damage of your attack is increased a farther size to deal d10s
If the smite has an alignment associated with it, the smite overcome DR for that alignment

Will save for half DC 10+1/2 levels in class that grants the smite ability+ charisma modifier. Example: a Good lawful paladin with a spirit of 17 smites an evil neutral troll, all evil and chaotic creatures within 15ft must make a will save or take 1d6 holy/lawful damage.

--Chain Smite [Special]

Benefit: When you smite a creature the energy seeks out the next nearest creature who would have been a viable target for the smiting, the energy move up 5ft times your Charisma bonus to a maximum number of targets equal to your Charisma bonus. Each creature struck but the chain smite and not the actually smote is only dealt the bonus damage granted by the smite and this damage is cut in half every time the energy jumps to a new target. The damage to additional targets does not increase with successful critical hits. Example: a level 15 Good paladin with a long sword with a strength and spirit of 18 smites an evil neutral troll for 1d8+4 strength damage +4d10 smite damage then the next nearest evil creature is dealt 4d10 holy damage, and the one after that would be dealt 7+1d6, and the last would be dealt 3+1d3.
