About our Group

We are a part of the Midwest Academy of Capoeira Angola Palmares, led by Contra-Mestre Pererê out of Seattle.

The Iowa City group is instructed by Kevin Hockett. We have some ties to the University of Iowa, but membership is open to anyone willing to commit themselves. Dues are $40 per month, or $5 per class.

9 August 2004 On August 23rd class times will move to Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
1 June 2004 Classes are moving to Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Fieldhouse as of June 8th, 2004.
