" ... I'll take my chances babe I'll risk it all,
I'll win your love or I'll take the fall.
I've made my mind up girl it's meant to be,
someday lady you'll accomp'ny me .... "

" ... I feel it in my soul it's meant to be
Oh someday lady you'll accomp'ny me ... "

Who would have thought that a chance meeting in a chat room in September 1998 would have meant finding my life's partner. For months he wooed .. courted .. did everything he could until I saw that he truly was the man meant just for me. My husband first proposed marriage to me by getting down on one knee infront of a room full of chatters while we were over 1500 miles apart and asked me to do him the honor of spending the rest of my life with him. It was the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me! After many cross border visits and countless hours spent on the phone and on the computer we finally made the first steps towards our life together.

Since nothing about our relationship has been conventional from the start, as is the same with our wedding. To please the angry Immigration Gods we first made our union legal on November 11, 2000 by gathering two dear friends and standing before a Justice Of The Peace pledging our love. Since we didn't have wedding rings (just my engagement ring) or our family with us we decided to do it all over again. So on a sunny day in April 2001 we were joined by loving friends and family while a pastor blessed our marriage. We exchanged matching wedding bands at an alter made of a bridge over a babbling brook complete with a waterfall and gold fish.

From beginning as friends, moving through to courtship and lovers and then finally husband and wife, my husband knew all along that someday I would accomp'ny him down life's path.
