When I was 20 I thought I'd figured out what I
wanted to do for the rest of my life. Interestingly,
I was writing this at the same time. I was
ecstatically happy & damnedably depressed all
also a slice of life at camp, my favorite
enough to get thrown out. The fall-out was
vast, and extremely painful. I had consequences
to deal with, for the first time in my life. It took
years. These pieces are cynical, & wierd, but
at the same time. Then, I did some- thing "bad"
thing ever. Please enjoy.
Dedicated to: Wally KJ Beth Kristen Dan Lance Magic Jim Terry Lowell Sue Monte Eric Tommy Chris, & all Fort & backpacking & Outlaw staff from 1989 & 1990. I love u all.

What can I say? I quit school & moved to this
God forsaken place (the scene of the crime) & had
a few other adventures in waitressing, freaky fundi-
mentalist churches, nightclubbing & bass-
playing, try-ing like hell to "find myself" & get over it.
I was lonlier than ever in my life, but it was fun...
I miss those days. Really. I was free...
