BIOGRAPHY
Russell Crowe was born in Wellington New Zealand on April 7th 1964 to Alex and Jocelyn Crowe, He spent much of his childhoodon movie and television sets where his parents worked as caterers. He made his acting debut on an Australian t.v. show at the age of six. Much of his work has been critically acclaimed in Australia and in the U.S. for the films L.A. Confidential, The Insider, for which he recieved an Academy Award nomination, and for his most recent release, the box office smash Gladiator. Look for the upcoming Proof of Life with his current squeeze, Meg Ryan and Flora Plum, co-starring Claire Danes and directed by his friend Jodie Foster. He also plays guitar, sings, and writes music for the band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, which most recently performed in Texas
