These are the pics I took at the Just Push Play tour in San Antonio TX August 28, 2001. With the exception of my shirt of course! I have shots from the Houston (August 30) and Dallas (September 1) shows too. As most of you already know, I am a huge Tesla fan. I was wearing my Tesla shirt and hat at the Houston show when I met the guys in Aerosmith. Unfortunatly, I met them before I bought my Aerosmith shirt. So, that's what they signed. My intentions were to have them sign the meet-n-greet pass on my shirt. I guess Steven Tyler and Joey Kramer missed the mark a little, huh? That's cool though~~If anyone other than Tesla is signing my Tesla shirt, Aerosmith is the best choice!! They were incredibly cool guys. Steven and Tom were especially friendly. I'd have to say that Tom is my favorite out of this band. Not that the rest don't kick ass, we all know they do! My friend, Bruce, and I went on a week long Aerosmith adventure together. I got to meet many of his friends and Aeroheads from all over. That was lots of fun. It's always cool to meet all the fans. For the Dallas show, Bruce organized a cool Aerohead meeting out at Hit Records. I'm not sure how many people showed up, but there were many. |

The first show was in San Antonio. We took his 9 year old niece to this show with us. It was her third Aerosmith show, my first, and who knows how many times Bruce has seen them since they are one of his favorite bands. The show was an incredible two hour, mind warping, ass kicking bash!! I was just blown away. Then there was Houston. To my surprise, this show was even better than the last. The sound and just the way they seemed to be clicking that night...Then of course getting to meet Aerosmith just totally kicked ass. The best part for me about this was seeing them recognize Bruce for the book he wrote and mananged to get to the band in San Antonio. |
I was so happy and excited for him that you would have thought I wrote a book and they recognized me! Then we got to have our pic made with the band. They had their own professional photographer and you weren't aloud to use your own camera at all. Bummer...I would have some awesome shots of when they recognized Bruce and started talking to him. What a night!! Dallas, our home town, was the last show we saw. Man, this was absolutly the best! |

We met more fans here than at the other shows too. Hit Records is a great store and meeting ground for Aerosmith fans. Ron Ross owns the store and probably has more Aerosmith memorabilia than anyone. Many fans met early here and then later out in front of will call for those that couldn't make it to Hit Records. |
The sound, the lights, the crowd...it was all perfect. This was a totally sold out show. The way they just tore up that stage was incredible! |
