Paramount Boot Camp Testimonials

I'd just like to thank you for the last 5 weeks. Boot camp has been one of the BEST things I have done for myself. You are to be congratulated for your professionalism, organisational skills (phenomenal) and sense of achievement and pride you have instilled in others. The discipline, goal congruence within the teams and as a whole platoon as well as the personal goals set (and achieved) can only help to improve one's personal life as well. I know that I am setting higher personal fitness challenges and now include heartbreak hill as part of my normal river run. Getting up before dawn in winter isn't a problem and I couldn't believe how quickly spinning seemed to pass last night. Usually, I'm thinking god. it must be over soon. I have made so many new friends whilst on Boot camp and have acquired a training partner in Hailey. Paramount stands for integrity, professionalism and team spirit in my book. You deserve every accolade that comes your way. I know good things will come out of channel 10's promotion of the club. I hope to be able to be there to boost numbers for you.

The courage determination and enthusiasm seen displayed throughout Boot camp by all who participated has been a constant source of inspiration, which I am determined to carry with me.

Thanks again Brent to you and your team... Nata in particular.... firm but fair...his creed I believe.

I am actually sad that it has come to an end. I can't believe how quickly the time has passed and the fun I've had!
You guys are the best! - Barb

I just wanted to let you know that I achieved my boot camp goal last night, which was to run for 20 minutes without stopping (outside, not on the treadmill). I worked it out and I haven't been able to do this for 6 years!!! I don't know where the time went, as I have always wanted to start up running again since my knees first went dodgy, I can't believe it took 6 years. What I can't believe even more though is it actually only took 4 weeks of training to do it! Bootcamp has been fantastic and I have really enjoyed it - Thanks!

My next goal is to get through the barrier test without stopping to walk. And from there it will be to increase my running time by five minute intervals until I can run for 40 minutes, so that I can alternate my 40 minute morning walk with a run every second day.

I'm very proud and have been telling everyone that I reached my goal, so I thought I'd let you know also - Sian

Michelle here (Platoon 2B - Role call #3), I am really loving boot camp so far - it has provided me with challenges that I never thought I could achieve normally. I am really noticing an improvement with my fitness and general well being. I have been timing myself with 5km runs that I have been doing on Sundays - and I am pleased to say that I have decreased my time by 4 mins in two weeks, I am running faster, and I don't think I have ever been so motivated by a group such as this - Michelle

It was a fantastic way to get me back into an exercise routine which I aim to continue. It had been almost 2 years since I did any form of exercise. This not only motivated me to exercise but also encouraged me to eat better. Congratulations also goes to you and your team for putting on a very professional and fun filled program. You all need to be commended.

I will definitely be joining the November Boot camp - Vicky

Just wanted to say thanks for your fabulous organisation of yet another
bootcamp. You and your amazing drillies manage to keep coming up with fun
and challenging activities time after time.

The 3 sessions at Aberfeldie were really great this bootcamp. In the past
the sprint sessions have been ones to fear but breaking the session in half
so that we only spent 30 mins on the track meant it was more achievable to
put in 100% for the whole time. I think Tuesday morning at Aberfeldie is
probably the hardest I've worked this time around, it was a fabulous start
to the day. Also loved last nights session around the Tan, there's a few
closet dags amongst you guys!

Seeing as next bootcamp is the 'pre-bikini' one I'm hoping there will be
lots of ab work. Also I like how Donna always gets you to check your pulse
to get a feel about how hard you're working at different stages of the
session. Thanks again, see you Saturday - Paula

I just wanted to say a big thank you. It happens to be my birthday today
and I was thinking about me at this time last year. I was 10kg heavier, 2
sizes bigger and had never run any decent distance. I'm not telling you this to
brag (because I shouldn't have been that way anyway!!) but to genuinely
say a big thank you to you and the other drillys who have motivated me to
become a fitter person - both during and in between boot camps. I think you
deserve to hear this feedback to know what you are providing is an excellent
program and also improving the quality of people's lives. Thanks again - Fi

I thought I would let you know that up until a couple of years a go I couldn't even run 500 meters, and since doing boot camp I feel great and can't imagine life/exercise without it ! I feel like the guy in the 80's surfie movie, Point Break, when he tells Keanu Reeves about how good surfing is, saying, " It will totally change your life dude !!!". Same can be said for boot camp, which also makes you realise that the body is an amazing thing, and it will do what ever you train it to do.

I have also realise that there are no excuses for not exercising. Your line "nothing gets done until you do it" is gold, and another one great one my husband has taught me is " If you do what you always did, you will get what you always got" ! If you keep doing nothing, you will get the same result - NOTHING !

Boot Camp has not only been a great way to get fit and but has given me confidence to try other sports, as well as providing a great balance to a busy work schedule. The power of the group is amazing! My new year's resolution is to do a Triathlon (a first!), so I have just signed up to do the BRW in March.

It is a credit to you, all the drillies & staff, that you approach your job with much pride and your enthusiasm, drive and encouragement that goes with each new boot camp, is amazing. Well done and looking forward to more boxing "activities" in the new year! - Cathy
