This poem is one of my favorites, and was written for a dear friend.

A Promenade

Would you take a walk with me,
Just a simple walk,
Through the park, or on the beach,
To a place where we could talk?

To feel the warmth of summer,
Or the chill of winter's cold,
A walk that's filled with laughter,
And, would my hand you hold?

A time to feel the warmness,
Of a summer day,
Or, just to let, a gentle breeze,
Whisk our cares away.

A time to watch, the rolling clouds,
As they fill the sky.
A time to hear the birds sing,
Their majestic, lullaby.

Would you take a walk, with me,
And would you hold my hand,
As we walk together,
To find a brighter strand?
