Crystal Sunshine

A dusty route, a lonely path,
An isolated road,
No one there for comfort,
No help, to share the load.

I looked up to the heavens,
For the strength to carry on,
I need the crystal sunshine,
Before, all hope is gone.

Oh! To see the sun rise,
And warm me with it's touch,
I long to have the comfort,
That I need so much.

For in my cold existence,
A smile, can never be,
I pray to find a doorway,
And hope, to be set free.

Without those rays of sunshine,
To lighten my dark trail,
My happiness is forgotten,
And my quest, to no avail.
