This is a lovely georgette 2 piece pastel pink outfit from OPT. I got this and a bunch of other stuff on sale at the end of last summer. Gotta go through my closet more often.
The shoes are also from OPT. I mentioned them in my last update (Or the one before that, I can’t remember) and I got lots of email from girls who wanted to see them
They are clear vinyl and pink vinyl with Lucite heels. Comfortable and attractive, and a perfect match for this outfit! I have a dressy pink suit I will wear them with soon as well
So yesterday was the day after Thanksgiving, aka “Black Friday” the busiest shopping day of the year
For reasons I cannot explain, I always go out among the masses. Since April is visiting for the entire weekend, stating Friday evening, I got an early start
Malls are difficult on this day, to be sure, but the L&T in the Burlington Mall is one of my favorite haunts. There is also a Sephora and Mac store in this mall.
Ironically I ended up at Macy’s ‘cause I had a coupon and Vanity Fair panties were on sale.
I can launder stockings and wear them forever. But I like new panties, and I got nine pairs, all on sale all with 15% more off.
Macy’s has stopped carrying my favorite pantyhose, but I took a look and saw a few pairs, so I got those too.
So as I waited patiently to pay, the same woman I had words with at L&T some time ago came over to help the overworked clerk. She must have changed jobs, or been driven out by customers. Of course she ended up taking care of me…..
Sephora was next. I really like Nars cosmetics by my goodness are they expensive. But I couldn’t resist and got a spectacular new lipstick, new eye shadow, and a bunch of new eye shadow brushes. It is important to change your eye shadow brushes frequently.
Then I popped over to Mac for some new green eye shadow and lip liners.
I spent the rest of the day in Boston, shopping her and there. Aldo Accessories has some great junk jewelry. They had a little sale on so I got a few things.
I made my way thought the cosmetics departments at Saks, Niemen’s and L&T in Boston. I must say the girls just are not what they used to be!
I remember vividly the women at Jordan Marsh and Filene’s in downtown Boston when I was young. I would sneak in to Boston in my early teens, a bus and 2 trains. Ah the huge hair, the gobs and gobs of makeup, and the eyeliner!
There is one girl in Neiman’s I like, but once I heard her speak, and the thick Boston accent and cigarette scratch has turned me off a bit.
What do you think of this ‘do? Not my usual style to be sure. I wore this one a lot when out and about with Carol. Her sister called me the other day asking of I knew where she was. Not good…
