Why Oh Why do I have this section when I have awards?

Simple.  I can update this any time when the awards will only be bi yearly or quartely.  I haven't decided yet.  This puts the spotlight on the talent all year round.

If you know of any fics that fit in any of the below woah ratings (Even 1 Woah is way above average) please email me, tell me where it is and I'll go fetch.  If you think one of your fics deserve such an accolade, then do the same, telling me it's yours and the merits of it that makes you think it's befitting of a Woah.  I'll try to be gentle.

Below are fics that I think had me especially going woah.  It may be one particular author who churns out the goods fic after fic, it maybe a story on it's lonesome.

This is how I rate them.

1 Woah =  Awesome!
2 Woah =  Kick Ass!
3 Woah =  Did that really happen?
4 Woah =  That was so cool!!
5 Woah = (No speech avalible- too shocking or great)
The Golden Woah = Simply the most incredible fic ever.

First up is Kita's "Komodo".  A very dark NC-17 fic, and if you're over age and don't mind reading the stuff (disturbing imagery, violence, m/m slash) that's in it, check it out.

Set during "To Shanshu In LA, ", Angel struggles with his conscience and ges to exact his revenge on Wolfram and Hart lawyer, Lindsey McDonald. 

This is an incredible fic and changed the way I write.  It's written from Angels POV to give a true representation of what's going on in his head. 

In the authors notes, Kita said she  wanted to show the fine line Angel walks but mantain the essence of the character and hopes she did it justice.

Lemme tell you, she did more than do it justice.  She wrote Angel in a way I haven't read before.

I give it the highest recommendation and 4 & 1/2 Woah's
 
 

OK, OK so it's another serious NC-17 fic but this is really really incredible.  The characterisation, the style.. Let's just say you'll have a big ol' evil grin on your face afterwards.  This is possible one the best EVER.  Plus Angelus back - YAY.

In this Buffy confronts her darkness Spike and Dracula both said she had.  And there's nothing darker than the oh so screwable demon of your ex boyfriend Angel.

It's set after the fifth season's early(ish) start with references to Buffy vs. Dracula and a little to do with Fool For Love.

Written at Buffy's POV, Ducks (the fantastic and incredible) takes us into the deepest parts of the Slayer.  Shows new sides to Buffy, snippy dialogue, glossy, dark feel with taht tongue in cheek Slayer-ness.  Descriptions first class.

She loves darkness and we love Ducks.

Hell, I should just tell you to go to Ducks Fanfic.  I've found it hard to find a fic I didn't really, really enjoy.  She is brilliant and if you don't go to her site, the senior partners will make you eat your own liver  :)
 
 

A special award.  The best post the-Gift series I've read is Swansong by Di Harris.  Love it.  It starts when.. Wait.  Actually don't wanna spoil one second of it for you by telling you all the reasons I loved it so I'll just send you that way ;)
