Waiting for Sheba.(1999)
Finally I am getting a little page of my own. I was on the Dogs Pals page, but now I am one of the Family,so "Mom" said I should have my own page! I had a home before but I was lonesome as everyone was working . I followed anybody walking ,that would let me. One man, John, let me walk with him for a long, long time. I knew he wasn't well as he walked slower than other walkers. When he stopped at the corner store to get a little snack, he always saved me a taste. I loved that man and after our walk, I waited until he was in the house , before I went on my way. Once I was waiting for him and a lady came to the door and said,"John isn't feeling well today ,so isn't going walking".She told me to go home. I waited until John came to the door and told me ,then I left. We walked the next day and for awhile until one day I went to meet him and he wasn't there! I waited & waited, he didn't come that day or the next. There was a lot of people at his house for a few days, then it was quiet and I never saw the nice man again. I started walking with another man, but it wasn't the same and soon he was gone. Finally on one of my trips around town I went into the yard of my friend Sheba,(she was in a different home now and told me how great it was). I hung around and then I started getting treats when Sheba did. I hated to go home because I would have to sleep outside anyway . Close to the end of winter 1998 I was invited in to Sheba's,(after they found out I was sleeping in the snow and not going home) I was kind of scared going into a strange house, but it was better than the cold. Well since then I have been living here and I love it. I am never alone , even when" Mom" goes out, because there are 3 other dogs and 4 cats. That's one thing I had to give up if I wanted to stay here,Chasing cats!! But it was worth it.

A sheep? No, Just me coming in for a visit,Checking it out before I moved in to stay.
