Jesus wore a crown of thorns,
Upon His head that day,
When he died on the cross,
Just to take our sins away.
His hands and feet were pierced,
By those old rusty nails,
And the love He shows to us,
Is one that never fails.
As He hung on the cross,
He said, "Father fogive them all,
For they know not what they do,"
For without this they would fall.
When we think of all He did for us,
We need to fall on our knees,
And thank Him for it all,
And live our lives to please.
We should want to please Him,
For taking away all our sin,
Then for giving to us,
His Spirit to dwell within.
