Some say they saw the angels come and even heard them cry, some say they never saw, although they looked to the skies.
Some people seem to blame God for the evils of man. Some have no blame at all, they simply don't understand.
As thousands ran from a scene so shattered and so torn, many ran into it and new hero's were born.
Most never realized the dangers some had to face until they saw that day, as they all run, and with their own lives they raced.
Many never made it out for reasons unknown. They say some were told to stay and work, while others were told to go home.
As confusing and as hurtful as it all may be. There was a strong unity that came from a sad tragedy.
We all wave our flags and proudly take a stand some had to go to fight in some foreign lands. We all give up something. Some give more, some are still searching, just what they should give for.
Our lives are forever different, they are forever changed, just a little tarnished but not worthless or drained.
We are Americans, we are strong, proud, and true, and no matter the evils they place upon us, we proudly will wave the Red, White, and Blue, and although it was never seen I know the angels wave it too. |
