I saw My Joe Hugging Babearlon

This is what happens when you are suffering from B5 withdrawal. This is no. 5 in a series, but it is the first one I have finished.

My apologies to Tommie Connor, composer and lyricist of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus."

Intro:

B 5 toys all over the place, Lady Kathryn has a funny smile on her face;
For Kathryn has a secret, a secret she must share;
She longs to tell somebody, so she tells *her* TEDDY BEAR:

I saw my Joe hugging BABEARLON
Underneath the Milky Way so White;
He didn't hear me creep
Up the stairs to look and see
A sight Da Bearz would love to see in their gallery."

Then I saw Unca Joe snuggle Babearlon,
Valen said Someday he'd see the Light;
Oh, what a laugh it would have been,
if "moMMi" had only seen
My Joe hugging Babearlon last night.

PS Visit *Da BEARZ LAIR.* The site has been recently updated. It is Wonderfully Hilarious. Or Hilariously WOnderful.

Babearlon

This is dedicated to DA BEARZ
(and moMMI)

BABEARLON
I lost my heart to *BABEARLON*
Amidst the stars;
I saw him pushed out an airlock
And float a-far.

I dreamt of him at Z'Ha'dum
Fighting Pawlons;
And I'll shall wait 'til HE returns
To BA-BEAR-LON.

You should check out DA BEARZ LAIR. It is hilariously wonderful (or wonderfully hilarious.)R

Me and My Shadow

Late Night Thoughts #4

Dedicated to Mr. Morden
ME AND MY SHADOWS
Me and My Shadows
Carving up the Universe
Me and My Shadows
Cre-ating Chaos 'ere we go.

We ask "What do you want"
You get our gift
We name our price.
Then it is too late.

So Me and My Shadows
Are Carving up the Universe.

The Minstrel's Song

As I was sailing the currents of space
I came upon that Mythical place
Where a Station orbiting Epsilon Three
From annals of History long ceased to be.

But from our hearts it never will cease,
Known as Our Last, Best Hope for Peace.
So, here is my ode to that ancient place.
Its legend transcends all time and space.

For twenty years your purpose was peace.
Showing us that we might live as one.
And so you were laid to Rest in the Sea.
To Sleep in the Light of a mission that's done.

Conceived in great hope and wrought in great pain,
At your portals our hopes were all lain.
A dream given form all alone in the night,
All peoples who came here were seeking the light.

Of your heroes we know only names.
They did not seek out glory or fame,
To ensure our future they fought a Great War,
Forging peace, a thousand years or more.

Sheridan, Sinclair, and Delenn the Wise,
Upon their heads so rested our fates.
And when Sinclair transformed into Valen,
The ONE WHO WAS sealed up his own fate.

The ONE WHO IS gave up her own self.
Two peoples in heart and blood were made one.
Heart of the Rangers, the Soul of the People.
The light from your candle will never be gone.

The ONE WHO WILL BE led them all.
To fight the Shadows in a Great War.
At Z'Ha'Dum he struck a great blow
And the heart of Darkness was no more.

Ivanova, the Brave and Marcus the Ranger,
Zack and Lennier, G'Kar, Londo and Vir,
Stephen and Michael, they all faced the dangers,
Zathras and Lyta, we hold them all dear.

And let us not forget all of the others,
The countless ones unnamed in this song.
Unsung heroes, our sisters and brothers,
They paid a price so we could live on.

So pass on my song as you sit at your table.
The people the places they all were alive.
It's more than a myth or a legend or fable.
The name of this place was Babylon Five.

We'll Bang the Drum Slowly and Sing our Song Lowly.
"Good-Bye, Old Friend", we'll miss you so.
You came in our hearts, in our lives with a passion.
And now we are sad to see you go.

**********************************************

In striving to reach worldly goals
And seeking a new life in places unknown
They found themselves within one another
And yielded not to the darkness within.

The tale was written to the tune of "The Streets of Laredo", an American Folk Classic. All but one of the lines is mine. The original line from the song that I changed is "Bang the drum slowly and play the fife lowly."

I meant to include this with the original post.

Please read and enjoy this tale in the spirit intended.
