The Cliff's Edge - bad link

Well this name wasn't my first; my first was Eladamri, Lord of Leaves. This name came from the Magic:tg card by the same name. Eladamri is a elf king, ruling over a great nation in the middle of a great forest, myself being that I like fantasy and plants. I fell in love with the name. I later gave it up when I had a dream about my present name.

Long story short, I had a dream with a being in it, who I later renamed Taliesin. This being came to me and told me what to look for in order to stake a claim in the future. Don't ask me; I still haven't figured out what it means.

Talynn Windwraith comes from 2 Celtic Deities. Tal comes from the first 3 letters of Taliesin, a great celtic bard who was known far and wide for his talents, songs, and voice. These 3 letters show my artistic side, the side that is always hyper and joyous. The last 3 letters "ynn" come from the last 3 letters of the first part of this god's name Gwynn ap Nudd, god of the underworld. These 3 letters show the darker side of my being that is always present, but rarely shows.

You pronounce the name as Talon. This I found out from an old friend who follows the Celtic teachings and can speak Gaelic, Welsh, and Hyberian. Side note: try and find someone that can speak Gaelic, if you're lucky enough to find someone that can, ask them to pronounce your name. Gaelic is such a beautiful language you won't be displeased.

As for Windwraith, Wind is my element of life as in earth, air, water, fire (air being my first and greater element, water being my second and lesser element). Wraith is a creature of the wind, being only a image of a ghost having no real power in our world, but yet being able to scare you to no end. It is also a creature that I hold close to my being, along with the cat and spider (in some books these are also 2 creatures of the air). And this is how I came by a name that I want as my legal name, a name that gives me power both emotionally and on some level physically.

        My name is The_Angel_Ariana.

I like to think of myself as an angel. Mainly because of the purity thing. And also the wings - to be able to fly. And who doesn't like angels??

The Ariana part came from a book The Belgariad by David Eddings. Don't you think it's a pretty name? I like the fantasy kind of names. And all of my kids are going to have weird fantasy-style names.

I chose my online nick: After watching a TV special on domestic cats in which it was stated that cats see their humans as "big cats" after awhile. I have three cats.

      07 April 2004

When I started using computers, I was constantly changing the settings on my computer. So, I started to go by Hacker. Then when I started to program, all the stuff I coded would crash my system. So, then I went by Virus. Then I got on-line and found a ... cut off by Guest Book.

the original truth - bad link

        Hi Mab!

        I love your question!

I chose 'truthseeker' by accident! I was in desperate need of a name to join a chat about one of my fave movies. I thought "what would best describe me?" and I came up with the name! The more I thought about whether it was appropriate the more I realised that the name I had chosen really meant something about ME.

Somewhere I had read about the Greek ascetic Diogenes, who it's said, went out with lantern in hand to search for an honest man (the truth) ...well sometimes I am a bit of a hermit but when I venture out I don't want to listen to B**S***; I want to hear the truth - I only speak the truth (how naive I hear you cry) but that is who I am...a truthseeker.

When I looked up the nickname on the net I found a whole load of religious 'people' going under this banner - I am religious but that is not the reason for my name. I'm also known as Originaltruth or just plain Truth - and it comes in very handy for a lot of difficult conversations - when you want to add a little humour, just add the truth!

Editor's Note: I am The Patient Gardener and am responsible for the contents of the site. Mab did ask the all important first question.

I would love to hear from Mab.
