As our friend and guide,
We have one who is faithful,
As in us He does abide.
We can always be sure,
He will take us through each trial,
In such a very nice way,
That again we're sure to smile.
He will always guide us,
With His nail-scarred hand,
Until we dwell with Him,
In God's promised land.
Just by knowing our Savior,
As our friend and our guide,
We'll be friends to others,
And stand by their side.
