STAND TALL
I have a lovely friend,
Who loves the Lord and all,
Who one day was troubled,
And I saw my dear friend fall.
I tried to encourage her,
And help her to stand tall,
But once again I saw,
My dear friend stumble and fall.
Then I remember what God says,
About those who fall,
And I knew my dear friend,
Would again stand tall.
And as I watched her,
As upon the Lord she would call,
Jesus was her friend,
And He helped her to stand tall.

Proverbs 24:16

This poem was written as I was struggling through the effects of manic-depression, and it seemed I was falling so many times and failing the Lord.  I was reaching out to others for help and it seemed not many understood what was troubling me.  And as others turned away I drew closer to the Lord and He was and still is my strength.  Without Him I would not be able to make it day to day.  Praise the Lord for His love is unfailing, even when we fail Him.  Psalm 59:16-17
