Jesus You are my best friend,
As You are always here with me,
Your love to me I know,
For You died upon the tree.
You died and shed Your blood,
For forgiveness of all my sin,
And then You came to me,
And touched me deep within.
My life was so wrecked,
By sin and and great strife,
Until You came to me,
And changed around my life.
So when someone asks me,
Who my friend might be,
I will always say it is You,
As You did so much for me.
May I always look to You,
And strive to do Your will,
So others might see through me,
That You can help us still.
So as my Savior and best friend,
May my light shine bright,
And Lord with your help,
I will be able to do what is right.
