MOTHERS
What's so special about mothers, They cook and meet our needs, Most always thinking about others, And doing very good deeds.
They watch us when we're playing, And help us when we fall, They answer many questions, That surely come to us all.
And as we're growing bigger, They go through pain and strife, To train, guide and direct us, And try to shape our life.
They pray that when we're grown, We'll follow in God's ways, That we may have a fruitful life, And live for many days.
So let's think of our mother, As a kind, compassionate friend, And remember to say, "I love you," Again and again and again. (Written by) Patricia A. Heath Daughter of Patricia Lawrence |

A GOOD MOTHER
A good mother will do her best, To train her children so they'll be blessed.
She'll talk to them as they grow, And teach them standards they should know.
She'll help them when they start to walk, But even more important she listens when they talk.
She'll guide them all their growing years, And show them that she really cares.
But children only get teaching that is sound, When they have their mother around.
If she'll take the time to properly correct, They'll grow to be adults that people will respect. -Patricia Lawrence |

BEING A PARENT
Dear moms and dads don't get up tight, Just help your kids do what is right.
Train them in the things they should do, By letting their example come from you.
It should be through you they see Jesus' face. And understand His love and His grace.
So dear parents don't be a chum, Let the truths of God from you come.
If you'll be the parent and do what is right, It's likely your kids won't get up tight. -Patricia Lawrence |

LET OUR CHILDREN GO
When our children are grown, There's one thing moms should know, That is how to graciously, Let our children go.
We should not be telling them, How to live their life, Or who they should choose, For husband or for wife.
We should just be there, To help if there is need, But all in all, Grown children should be freed. -Patricia Lawrence
