This is how I fill the hole in the cds that

I Paint:

First taped over the hole on the back using clear shipping tape.  Fill the
hole using "Golden" gel medium light molding paste or "Elmer's wood filler.
Smooth off the excess using palette knife or credit card.  (Note: I prefer
the molding paste as it is more flexible and less likely to crack than the
wood filler.  I have noticed from time to time that the Elmer's wood filler tends to
crack)  I do not remove the tape. After drying I basecoat both back and front of the cd by using
Krylon spray paint.
This gives a nice finished appearance when finished .
You can now seal (Jo sonja's all purpose sealer) or
gesso at this stage if you feel it is necessary and you are ready for
painting.   Paint and then Varnish.  Then I make a tiny hole in the top with
a red hot nail so it can be hung with string or ribbon.  They are even
nice framed or displayed on an easel.

I don't guarantee the results but it seems to work for me.

Happy Painting
