Just finding out about PCOS

	For my 23rd birthday I was given a unwanted gift, being diagnosed with PCOS.  Didn't have a clue about what it was or what I was in for.  At 13 I had gotten my first period like normal, but then never had another one.  At 17 I talked to my mom and asked her why I wasn't like every other girl that was in my class.  She didn't know so we decided to talk to a GYN.  Went and saw him and he did lots of blood tests, a biopsy, and some other tests, and a week later told me that I was normal. He said that my body was just slow at maturing and that one day I would be normal.  Go figure.....I'm normal!!!!!!!!!!!!  Then 6 yrs later I moved and decided that it was time to see another doctor and find out what was going on.  One doctor visit and an ultrasound later I was diagnosed with PCOS.  I have 2 cysts on each ovary. One of them almost 5 cm.  I keep asking myself how come one doctor did so much stuff and found nothing and the other did one thing and answered all my questi! ons.  Doesn't make sense.  I don't know to much about this diagnoses so if any of you can help me PLEASE email me....drthysrevng@aol.com
