Creating Your Own Thesis
A Guide
Now that you have researched, read and taken notes, it is time to build your own thesis.  Remember, you can look at a thesis from a grammatical (syntax) point of view.  But you must also look at it from a content point of view.  Your notes will come in handy at this point.  This guide will help you use both points of view to help in building that thesis.
What is your topic (a noun)?
What will you say about the topic (a verb)?
What other words (key terms) will you add to complete the noun verb structure from above (modifiers):
Now put it all together in a single statement.  This is your thesis, the main point of your essay.
