Creative Assessment Strategies 2 |
Introduction: We have spent some time examining various Web sites that can help us with classroom activities and assessment. Today we continue to move forward and will actually create a Web based assessment activity. |
Step 1: Find a Web site that teaches or reinforces a concept. This can be an activity or an article.
Note the address. |
Step 2: Develop a report or graphic organizer that the student will complete at the end of the activity that will show the student has mastered the concept. Save that file to your server folder. |
Step 3: Develop a rubric to show how that report will be graded. Make note of the address if you use a rubric building site or save the file to your server folder if you used a program like Word. |
Step 4: You now want to get this information on the Web so that students have access to these materials. You have a choice to make.
Choice one is an independent track. Choice 2 I will show you how to develop the "lab." |
Step 5: If you are going with "Choice 1," you may get to it. If you are going with "Choice 2," I will show you an example of Ribit Lab, show you how to sign up (it's free), and show you how to construct the lab. |
