WebQuests: Build Your Own

Introduction: So you want to build a WebQuest?  You've come to the right place.  We will talk about web quests, what goes in them, and how they are valuable.

Task: Today you build a simple web quest, something that I hope you can use in your classroom.  In any case, you will have an idea of what goes in to making a web quest.  Good luck!  Have fun!

Process:

Step 1: Explore the resources below.  They will help you get to understand what a web quest can be, what it can do.  Select your favorite and print it as a model for your own WebQuest.

Step 2: Take notes during the teacher's presentation.

Step 3: Ask questions.

Step 4: Plan out your web quest on paper.

Step 5: Open Microsoft Word and type your WebQuest or copy and paste this model.

Step 6: Go to Geocities.com to open a free account or create an eBoard account.  The teacher will guide you as you go.

Step 7: Go to your eBoard, adminstration mode. Create a "note" and use that note as the home of your WebQuest. Or create a not for each section of your WebQuest

  • Add text by simply typing the text
  • Add links by simply typing the address
  • Attach documents by using the attachment feature on iNote.
