Helllo my name is Dennis Raymond Ferguson and I am the Democratic Precinct Chair  for Precinct 2107. I am a native Texan. Since 1824 my family has fought for, protected and served Texas and all its citizens with honor, pride and integrity. I am proud to follow their example I am proud of the scarifices, courage, and integrirty  that they contributed to  making Texas what it is today. I am also as proud of the legacy of the Democratic Party of Texas and its Leadership in Texas as I am ashamed of the legacy of the Republican Party of Texas and its so-called "leadership" in Texas. From Sam Houston to Sam Rayburn, From its creation to 1995, Texas was created and shepherded by Democratic Administrations. Through wars, depressions and unparralled growth its citizens were protected,served, lead, and grew in power and worth  under the Leadership of  the Democratic Party of Texas.

THIS BREAKDOWN in leadership and the disgraceful actions of the current "leadership" of Texas, ALL OF  WHOM  ARE REPUBLICANS, MUST NOT BE  ALLOWED TO GO UNCHALLENGED !! NOW is the time to REBUILD THE Texas Democratic Party LET'S GET NEW LEADERS TO LEAD TEXAS And WHO RESPECT ALL HER PEOPLE !!

According  to the VFW and other Veterans' Organizations The 2006 Bush Budget Request for Veteran Health Care is $2.4 Billion BELOW required funding . In 2003 Bush reversed President Clinton and now 1 Million Catagory 8 Veterans are being denied Veterans' Health Care. According to a 2005 Knight Ridder Newspaper reporty their are currently 2 million impverished Veterans and their widows that are not receiving pension benefits. 30% of Gulf War Veterans are suffering from Gulf War Syndrome. Both of our United States Senators voted against increased VA Fundinmg to protect Tax Cuts for the Wealthy. In the last Legislative Session of theTexas Legislature 80 Republican legislators, including ours, voted against a Democratic purposal Amenment 23 to CSSB 1 to block $720,000 from going to Lobbiest  and divert the funds to Texas Veterans. Republicans have slashed funds to our children by underfunding Public Primary and Secondary Schools leading to the Texas Supreme Court declaring our systm of School Finance UNCONSTITUTIONAL, we lost Millions of dollars in federal CHIP funds and thousands of Texas Children were denied Health Insurance coverage, they are even sending the decission as to who gets help in our State to overseas Call Centers.
