My Adventures in Bulgaria! |
"Feeling Patriotic"... or should I say "Psychotic"?! |
Zdravey...My name is Chantel. This website features my adventures as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria. I arrived in beautiful Bulgaria on June 20, 2001. On August 30, 2001, I was officially sworn in as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I spent my first year teaching at a primary school in Samokov, Bulgaria and my second year as a PCV was spent teaching at a secondary school in Panagyurishte, our training town. Currently, I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having closed my service on June 1, 2003. Enjoy my site and sign my Guestbook or e-mail me while you're here! |

"The Toughest Job You'll Ever Love!" |
We trained and I served my second year in a small town (pop. 20,000) called Panagyurishte. "Pana-G" was like my "hometown" in Bulgaria and I was thrilled when given the opportunity to serve there. I taught 6th, 8th, and 9th grade English classes. The Peace Corps office is in the capital city of Sofia. The address there is: Peace Corps P.O. Box 259 Sofia 1000, Bulgaria |
