The Oregon Trail in Wyoming
After we left Yellowstone, we followed the Shoshone River canyon, and then the Wind River canyon. We stopped for a couple days in Cody Wyoming to see the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, a very nice museum, well worth a visit. In eastern Wyoming we stopped to see the wagon ruts, worn into the rock by the thousands of pioneer wagons that traveled it. We stopped at Register Rock, where the pioneers carved their names in the soft rock cliffs.
