The boat continues back to Schadau Park for those with cars parked there. Arrival time in Schadau is 19:30.

A small shuttle bus van will be available starting at 11pm to drive people to the Thun railway station or to their Hotel. There will be a sign-up sheet.

Directions to the Church		  
The church is located on Seestrasse, about 1 km south of the train station. You can reach it by bus (Line 1 Thun-Spiez), taxi, car or foot. Just follow the street along the boat canal, cross the train tracks and keep going until you see the church on your left. Click the map below for an interactive map.

 

** We recommend to park your car at the Parkhotel in Gunten and then take either the boat, bus or taxi to the church so that you do not need to move your car later.

  

Parking		  
There is a wedding taking place before us, therefore parking at the church is limited. Either use free parking at Schadau Saal (see map above), or paid parking at Hotel Seepark, the train station or Kanderkies. All three parkings are located along Seestrasse. Pay is in cash in Swiss Francs. A shuttle van will pick up people at the different parking lots. Watch out for the sign "Peter & Patricia Shuttle" in the front windshield.  

Photos		  
We would like to encourage everybody to take pictures, so we can post them on this website afterwards. However, please do respect the sanctity of the church and limit picture taking during the ceremony to a minimum.  

Donations		  
At the exit of the church you can make a donation. Proceeds will go the the women's safe house in Thun and the "Unterwegs zum Du" program.  

Directions to the Reception		  
Most people will take the boat from the church to Gunten. If you must move your car here are directions to the Parkhotel Gunten.
From the church drive back to the train station and follow the signs direction Oberhofen/Gunten. Go straight at the first rotary, cross the Aare river twice. Having passed the old town, there is another small rotary where you take a right. Now you follow the road along the side of the Lake of Thun until you arrive at Gunten (watch out for the blue signs with white letters announcing the name of the town). In Gunten you pass the bus station and post office on the left, then the hotel is on your right. It's a tall white early century building. For an interactive map, click the map below.
