At last! My first update! It only took me.....well, it took me a while!
I've decided not to make any comments on the events of 9-11. I think it's been pretty well covered by all sides. Instead, I'm going to link to some articles that opened up my mind and changed the way I looked at a lot of things. I'll have those up soon.
The house! The addition is well on its way to being completed. The plumbing is in. The duct work is finished. The electricity is just waiting for us to slap a coat of primer on the drywall, and then we will have LIGHT!
As I mentioned above, the drywall is finally up. We are officially finished with hiring other people to work on our house. The rest is all up to us. Right now, we are busy cleaning up all the plaster dust and mess from the seam taping and the sanding that followed. The walls and ceiling need to be wiped down before the primer can go on. Then we'll put in the bamboo flooring in the kitchen and bedroom. Believe me, for us, this is really exciting! We're just that much closer to moving in...
