| All week long everyone worked hard to get their sites ready. The day before the fans were suppose to come, everything was ready to go. They all prayed & hoped that things would go well the next day when everyone arrived. They also hopped that there would be no problems with the wild animals or with bugs. They went to bed early that night so that the first strenuous day wouldn’t be so tiresome for all of the counselors. When they woke they quickly prepared for the day. Fans arrived around 10:30 that morning & chaos broke out. Fans freaked out & went looking for the boys. (Luckily the boys had remained in Outer Darkness for just such purposes.) The other counselors & security rounded up all the fans & made sure they were all here. The fans were assigned campsites & were asked to remain calm, or the van drivers would take them home. When the girls calmed down the boys came up from their campsite & visited the fans in their campsites. The fans were much calmer & didn’t attack the boys. They all had a late lunch in the mess hall. The boys welcomed their fans with open arms before lunch was served. After lunch the fans went back to their campsites to wait for the boys to come. They all hoped that the boys would be just as they are on TV or in a concert. When the boys finally got to their campsites they explained the rules of the camp as well as other necessary things. Also a special campsite war games that Brian & Nick had come up with was described. Everyone was excited to be there & get the war games started. By the time they were done it was time for dinner. Chatter & laughter filled the mess hall as dinner began. At the end of dinner the camp flag & the US flag were lowered & everyone headed off to bed to await the next day of fun & excitement. |
