| (Howie’s View) “We have to run from these people,” Christie said, “They will do anything & everything to get what they want.” “How did they find me,” I asked suspiciously “I wouldn’t tell them so they injected something into my body that made me tell the truth. I ended up telling them where I left Kara. They went to the MGM Grand & demanded files for the date that I got away. They saw your name & tracked down where you live. Your mother told them where you were so some stayed & some left. They can do all the steps in about 30 minuets.” “Why did you just tell me all of that?” “So you will know what you’re up against.” Just then Kara stirred in her sleep. I looked over at her. Then I heard gunshots from downstairs & yelling. Kara shot awake & Christie ran & locked the door. “Quickly down the fire escape,” she said. We grabbed everything that belonged to us & went out the window. We started climbing down the fire escape. I pointed out my car to Christie. She took my keys & all of my possessions & put them in the car. I grabbed Kara & put her into the car. I hopped into the driver seat & Christie sat in the passenger seat. We drove off as quickly as we could without being discovered. |
