| “What a week,” Elizabeth said as she got up to leave her office. She was one of the 8th grade assistant principals at Davis Middle School. The week had been very rough on her especially since she had a fight break out in her office. She quickly went to the door & down to the office to let Andrea, the secretary, know that she was leaving. When she walked in, Andrea was not there but there was a light coming from the principal’s office. She walked in to see that David was still there. David & her were very close. We are like best friends & we confide in each other all the time. “David, I thought you were going on a vacation,” I said with a smile. “I was but one of my daughters broke her leg so that she could see some boy band that is suppose to be coming to do a video shoot this weekend. She threw a fit at her mother & then flung herself down the stairs until her leg broke. You know it’s funny what girls will do to get what they want,” he said returning my smile. “Well I got to get home. Mickey, Sandy, Pluto, Daisy & Kiwi need to be fed & I promised Melody that we could go out to dinner tonight.” “You know Liz you need a man. You can’t be spending every minute with your daughter or dogs. You also shouldn’t be throwing yourself at your job it’s too stressful on a person.” “I know but…” “I know Mike hurt you but you got to find a man for yourself. It’s the only way to stop hurting on the inside” “Your right Dave I will start looking for a man, but he has to really capture my heart before I let him in.” “Bye Liz, Good Luck.” “Thanks Dave, Have fun at the shoot” |
