Just Who is This Tommy Anyway?

Hi. I'm Tommy Barnett. Welcome to my almost totally non-interactive site. My self fulfilling, "Hey everybody, look at me. I've got a web-site too", world.

I live in Weatherford, Texas and work in Retail Operations at Hawk Electronics in Fort Worth. I graduated from Weatherford High School (1978), Weatherford Junior College (1980) and from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas (1983) with a BBA in Marketing.

My hobbies include music (When I've been practicing, which I rarely do, I play 11 different instruments), building model cars, reading (Thursday is library day), playing on the computer, working in the Peachshed shop and watching The Simpsons on TV. I'm also interested in astronomy. Since we live out in the country, we usually have a great view of the sky. You can find me out in the back yard on many clear nights, peeking through the telescope.

I have been researching my family tree for the last few years and have most of my data posted to the major genealogy sites. I'm always amazed by the amount of genealogy information available on the Internet but it seems that there's always one important piece of data missing. I sometimes spend hours looking for that one lost piece, normally without success.

I was born in San Marcos, Texas in 1960. I moved to Weatherford in 1963. I left Weatherford in 1980 and lived in Denton, North Dallas and Carrollton for 17 Years. In 1997 I Inherited my parents' old peach farm and moved back to Weatherford.

In the past I worked at CMC Stereo in Fort Worth and Dallas, Earmark Car Audio in Addison and I am a proud charter member of SMAK.

I am  married to Corrie (nee Corrie Terry from Garland, Texas) and have a  son Ian (named after Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull), a son named Cody, a Doberman named Max and a cat named Sabina. And at any given time, we usually have a couple of "outside" cats roaming the property.
