My children are my greatest accomplishment and so they are my VERY MOST FAVORITE things. They are smart, funny and each has his or her own distinct personality which makes them unique and even more special to me. Look for more pictures of them at my COSTUME and PHOTO pages.

Although they can be nasty, peacocks are my favorite bird because they are beautiful and have become the symbol for my family and my home page. Check out ABOUT ME to find out why.

My favorite season is WINTER. I have always liked the snow and would spend endless hours outside in it when I was a kid as evidenced by the photo of me at the right.

In the SUMMER we spend a month at our cabin on Casco Bay in Maine. Our view (below) is fantastic and we are far enough into the bay that the water is usually not too cold for swimming. We also like to go waterskiing, tubing, boating and fishing. This is a beautiful and very relaxing place to be. I enjoy picking strawberries and making jam and also picking wild blueberries for muffins, cakes and pies. Check our some of my RECIPES for using them.

Fly the Flag Be Proud of Your COUNTRY!

I find gardening to be very relaxing and I enjoy it very much, even though I do not have a very big yard. There is just something about getting your hands into the dirt and planting something. The spring is the best time to see mine. I also plant a small plot of tomatoes which I love, but they don't always love me.

I have wanted to have a dog for longer than I can remember but we couldn't when I was a kid. After I got out of H.S. and had a job I figured that my parents wouldn't mind now because I was going to be the one taking care of it. WRONG!! I was at the mall and decided to go in to look at the puppies. I fell in love with the smallest puppy I had ever seen! I bought it and took it home. My parents weren't happy and said it had to go back but I was too upset and so my Dad had to do it. My Mom promised me that when I got married and had my own house that she would buy me a dog. Soooo, now that I am married and have my own house I finally got my dog. She is miniature dachshund, just like I had bought at the store 25 years before. This time I got it from a breeder though. My favorite religious holiday is Christmas and rejoicing in the birth of the baby, Jesus. I love the lights and the$!b> carols and baking my favorite cookies to give as gifts. You can find some of these recipes on MY KITCHEN page.

One of my favorite holidays is the 4th of JULY. Who can resist the thrill of the bright, colorful fireworks a lively parade and celebrating the joy of living in this country?

I have loved to sew since I was a child and have made lots of things. My favorite things to make are crayon aprons and curtains. You can find these on MY CRAFT CORNER page.

Some of my favorite books are children's books. I work in a Pre-K and we read a lot of them. My absolute favorite book is "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and THE BIG HUNGRY BEAR" by two of my favorite authors, Audrey and Don Wood. The illustrations by Don Woods are wonderful. And if you like the illustrations in this book then you should check out a couple of their others titled, "KING BIDGOOD'S IN THE BATHTUB" and "PIGGIES."
