"Never Forgotten"

I miss you, although you are gone from here.
You'll never be forgotten,
I can see your face in my mind how it use to be,
feel your laughter in my heart the way it will always be.
I hear your voice whispering to me
as the wind blows through the trees.

Memories of you will never fade.
Like jasper and gold,
you're now shrouded with light from above.
Hearing angels sing.
You'll live on in my heart forever.

You know I Love You
and someday will see you again in heaven.
You left me with tears,
but I know you're in a better place,
away from the pain, the fear,
life as we know it here.

My tears are because I love and miss you terribly.
My heart and soul ache because I want to talk to you,
hug you, laugh with you and your not here.
I will survive, yes, and in time I will heal.

My healing is taking place as I grieve
while writing these words,
but my hurting heart sees with my mind that
in time God will bring me comfort.

I held your hand until your very last breath,
your very last heartbeat,
until I handed you over to the angles
to lead you the rest of the way home.

The last thing I said to you as I held you in my arms,
with tears falling down my face were words like,
I Love you with all my heart.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
Thank you for giving me life.
I'll miss you but it's ok.

You will be ok, and I will be ok.
Because I know you're in God's Hands.
