SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

"REMEMBER"

September 11 2001, these words will echo for many years as the day that our generation changed. Much as the date December 7, 1941 has echoed for years.

For me it reminded me of how fragile our life's are. We are so busy worrying about our paychecks, or how we look, that we tend to forget the real meaning of life.

To love your partner with all your heart. To treasure your friends forever.

September 11, 2001, this date will be the day that more American's died in battle, in a war we did not even realize we were fighting. It was a day that changed us all, even if only in some small way.

September 11, 2001, this date will be remembered as the date that taught America what real hero's where, not the people who play sports, or made movies, or serve in politics. No matter how good they may be. These are not hero's. The hero's are men and women who rush to the aid of others. Who give their life so that someone else may live.

September 11, 2001 is the day that innocence in the United States of America and the world died. When we realized that the oceans we so long believed protected us from what happened over their, no longer protect us. As a soldier who served this country when it was not the "in" or "pc" thing to do. I shed more then one tear that day, I cried not for me, I cried for the pain of the child who will never see Mommy or Daddy walk in that door. I cried for the wife or husband who will never see their partner, the Mother and Father who lost a child that day. I cried for all the soldiers who will know go in harms way to defend our way of life. Who if called upon will lay their lives down for our beliefs and the right of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

September 11, 2001 is a day that changed my life forever. For we are all victims of that fateful day. We need to remember always.....

To love your partner and family with all your heart and to treasure your friends forever.
