| The Memorial was dedicated on November 12 1988. The Memorial is in the design of a sundial. The plaza contains the names of the 1068 killed in action, prisoners of war and missing in action. The gnomon is designed to cast a shadow to touch each name on the anniversary of death. The 23 POW/MIA's are on the backside of the gnomom so that a shadow will not be cast upon them. It was an honor and a pleasure to have served on the committee that made this Memorial possible. |
