Dec. 11th, 2007 More on "Songs Of The Cinema". May 12th, 2008 No one can accuse Nia Peeples (Karen, Y&R) of resting on her laurels. However once a year she does find herself resting! We have a typical Mother�s Day tradition of having breakfast in bed, which is always an adventure when you have little kids because you never know what you�re going to end up with! She laughs. In fact Peeples remembers one year when she had three of her nieces staying over. They are about the same ages as my daughter, Sienna. Sienna was 7 at that time,so it was a whole gaggle of girls, and they would not let me get out of bed, she recalls. They made pancakes that were sort of oddly shaped. I think they were trying to make hearts, but they came out looking like some sort of amoeba. And burnt bacon and plain eggs. It all ended up cold. But the fun thing is that they brought it to the king- size bed, and we spread it out and ate it on the bed together. Another favorite memory was when she and her family were in Vancouver, on location for a movie. The kids couldn�t make breakfast, so they had to find out another way to do it, she says, clearly delighted by the ingenuity displayed by her offspring, Sienna, 10, and Christopher, 18. They ran across the street to a Denny's and got a Grand Slam break- fast and brought it to me in bed. The effort that they made and the thought they put into it was very sweet. The most wonderful thing, is taking the time to put everything away and just enjoy each other.
