Pelco NY 2006 Season Page
The New York Pelco softball ball team got off to a good start by opening the season with a win under new manager Steve Chasse. While the team is actually in a rebuilding year they did enjoy their first ever playoff win.

While the team finished with a record of 6-19, there were a few highs as well as lows during the season.

Pelco started out the season on a high note with a victory over Publik House (a division 'B' team). In that game Rookie pitcher Thor Peters got the win, but would be out for the remainder of the season when he broke his wrist in game # 3. Another Pelco pitcher, Marty Frasco, would also go on the diasbled list early in the season. Thus leaving the team with one pitcher, Tom Hamlin, who, because of travel, would only be able to make half the games. This left the team in trouble. Until the end of the season, when Krishna Balkishun became the teams ace pitcher.

On the other side of the coin, the Pelco defense was pretty solid most of the season. The offense had it's ups and downs, with Hector Grullon winning the teams regular season triple crown award, and Krishna Balkishun really hitting the ball well in the playoffs. All in all, we were all satisfied with the year we had, and hope to improve greatly on that in 2007.
