Welcome to my home page! First, let me tell you a little about myself. I am Penelope Whaley. I am a wife, homeschooling mom to two, support group leader and all around general nut.
For local Knoxville class schedule click on the link to the side. For History, Continent or Science studies click the link to the side. To order studies just send me an email with the titles you are interested in. When payment is recieved I will send the units to you via email.
I have written these units for my own children and have tested them in a class setting with children ages 5 to 16. I write each study myself. I spend countless hours researching the topic, thumbing through materials and reading. Then I accumulate it all in one place for you. I tend to look for the interesting and unique information. This is not your typical textbook material. The units include all the text you will need to teach the topic without further research on your part. Several activities are included in each study. I believe children learn by hearing and then doing. Each activity reinforces the topic previously discussed. Units can be self directed by the students.
Let me stop here and say I am not an expert, nor are my self published units for experts. I am simply offering my research skills by accumulating in one place the information you need to successfully teach the topic. This is nothing you could not do yourself. They are designed simply to save you a lot of time.
The units are written in a conversational format. It is as if you walked into the room and are participating in a class I am teaching. The units can be self taught by older children, meaning you hand them the unit with a completion deadline and let them go. For younger children parent involvement would be necessary. The units are hands on.

How to pay: Funds can be sent using paypal by going to their site www.paypal.com (regular or credit) and using my email address to send funds or by mailing funds to me. Upon recieving funds I will send the units.
Upon receipt, if you don't feel the units are worth the cost then I will gladly refund your money. I am that sure these will save you tons of time.
License fees - If you would like to use my units to teach in a homeschool co-op or classroom setting then you would need to purchase a license fee for each unit you wish to teach. Licenses fees are available for the $10 each unit. You may then teach the unit to as many children and as often as you desire.
