RELIEF ON A POSITIVE NOTE
© Jack (LenasJack@aol.com))
So much in life is negative,
it's a definite relief
to run across the positive.
For example, sample the greats of literature,
from Plato to Dickens,
from Tennyson to Dylan Thomas;
glean from them those meanings
that cross the streets of life,
bringing faith where there is none,
hope where it has gone,
happiness beyond its lack,
never ever looking back
to those who wrote in the throes
of the grief of the negative,
but instead looking ahead
to those who wrote
for relief on a positive note.
