Mrs Mitchell's books are still some of the best horse stories ever written. so here we are trying to honour her memory and have a great time doing so!
It is such a shame we can't show her the rpg, but here's a little about her - its the best we can do at the moment.

Elyne Mitchell is regarded as one of the most distinguished writers of children's books in Australia. She wrote books for over sixty years and her
Brumby books have been published in over forty countries, taking Australia - and the Snowy Mountains - to the world. She was born in Melbourne, in 1913, and her interest in horses began as a child when her father, Harry Chauvel, commanded the ANZAC Mounted Division and Desert Mounted Corps. She had lessons at the army horse-riding school and developed her passion for horses. Following her marriage to Tom Mitchell, she settled on her husband's family farm at Towong Hill in the Snowy Mountains. He was also the Australian and New Zealand downhill ski champion and Mrs Mitchell soon learnt to ski herself, and very well at that.
Her first children's book,
The Silver Brumby, was written for Indi, the eldest of her four children, 'to give her the magic joy of reading', and the view from Mrs Mitchell's home and her rides through the Upper Murray have inspired her writing, becoming vivid parts of her Brumby stories, a lot of which were written while she was on her exercise bike!
