BOWERS CHILI PEPPER FESTIVAL 2004
Of course the star of the Bowers Chili Pepper Festival is the chili pepper itself.  All sorts of chili peppers are available for sale (and consumption) including the jalapeno and habanero.  You can eat them raw or cooked over a flaiming pit... stuffed or plain.  And for the little kiddies you can even go on a hay ride to the nearby Fleetwood Chili Pepper Company and pick your own peppers from their farm... just like our Mexican forefathers did back in their homeland.  Yes, it's like we are the migrant workers and they are the sharecroppers.  Ah, the Hex-Mex tradition lives on.
It enters looking like this and comes out looking the same.

Who says Chili Peppers are only for Mexicans and the Pennsylvania Dutch?
As the Kinks would say, Alejandro is a "dedicated follower of fashion."
