This is one of the many sites about the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
There is also information about the Ohio Turnpike and the
Indiana East-West Toll Road. The welcome above appears on many

Geocities will be closing on
October 26, 2009. After that time, Highways and Gas Stations
will no longer be available at this web address. Highways
and Gas Stations will be moving to the following
address: http://www.public.iastate.edu/~pmjohns/hwgs/.
Once this move is completed, Highways and Gas Stations will
remain in the same format with some minor changes because of
Geocities services not being available. This site will remain
until October 26, 2009, but will not be updated once the move
is completed. Once testing is finished on the new site, a
notice will appear here and the new site will be made public.

Site Info/History: There is a JavaScript clock at
the top of the page above the "Last Updated" date. While the
page is loading, you may see a "?" instead.
This site was started in October 2004 on the Geocities free
server. In 2005, the site was completely rebuilt with the
changes including written HTML 4.01 code to replace the
previously Geocities editor generated code. Also, the amount of
photos in the Gas Brands section was increased, and the number
of brands listed continues to grow. On February 24, 2006, the
Geocities traffic counter for the Home Page reset to 0 just
after the 1000th visitor, losing all of the historic traffic
data.
