As we peak into Mandy’s house we see our girl standing in the corner with her bottom very red. Our little friend is sobbing and rubbing for all she is worth. Let’s go back a few hours ago and see how this all happened……………
Momma was busily preparing dinner. Grandma was coming over and the girls were so excited. They kept chattering about who was going to sit on Grandma’s lap first. Mandy kept getting louder and louder saying it was her turn. Lisa, being her very good girl self, explained to Mandy that last time she sat on Grandma’s lap first so this time it was Lisa’s turn. Mandy didn’t want to hear that and told Lisa that she always got to do everything and it just wasn’t fair. Mandy stood there with her little hands on her hips and started to pout. Lisa didn’t fall for this. Lisa kept trying to talk to her sister but when Mandy was in this mood neither heaven nor earth could make her listen. Shortly Momma came into the room and told her girls that if this continues nobody was sitting on Grandma’s lap. Lisa started to cry and stomp saying that it wasn’t fair. Momma told Lisa that she needed to hush and stop her tantrum this minute. Lisa and Mandy both started chattering at the same time trying to tell Momma what happened. Momma listened and then came up with an idea. She told the girls that Grandma has a nice big lap and both the girls could sit there comfortably. The girls weren’t happy but they figured that it wasn’t worth it to get spanked for arguing. After all Grandma did have a great big lap and it was kind of fun to get great big hugs together.

Momma went back to the kitchen and the girls played quietly for a while. Soon Mandy decided to go ask her momma what she was making for dinner. She went out to the kitchen and saw Momma was making meatloaf. Her eyes got big as saucers and then she dramatically fell to the floor. Momma turned around and saw her little one lying there. Momma sighed deeply. She told Mandy to pick herself up immediately. Mandy opened one eye and told Momma in her best half-dying voice that meatloaf was her ickiest food and if Momma made her eat it she would surely die. Momma looked at her child and told her that she has eaten meatloaf a hundred times and she hasn’t died yet! Mandy continued to lye there and told Momma that she’d probably get a horrible disease from meatloaf and get great big sores on her body and die a horrible death. Momma rolled her eyes at Mandy tried not to laugh. She told her that if she didn’t get up right away she would not be getting any strawberry shortcake for dessert. Mandy got up and sullenly walked away.

Mandy went back to Lisa and the girls started playing a board game. During this time Momma put the meatloaf in the refrigerator. She was going to warm it back up when her momma got to the house. Momma was feeling hot and sweaty and told her girls she was going to take a bath. Lisa asked her mom if she could go to her friend’s house and Momma said she could. Mandy was told to play quietly and soon she and Momma would play a game together. Lisa left and Momma went to take her bath.

Mandy started to watch cartoons when suddenly she had a brilliant idea. She decided to feed the meatloaf to their dog and then she wouldn’t have to eat that nasty stuff. Silently she went into the kitchen and took the meatloaf out of the fridge. She placed it on the floor and called her dog. Shadow ate the whole thing in two seconds flat! She said to herself that she would tell Momma she went to get a drink and Shadow just stole it before she could stop her. Mandy figured that it was a wonderful plan and went back to playing.

Shortly after that Momma came down and the two began to play a game. Shadow was lying beside them when all of a sudden she let out a terrible noise and started to throw up. Momma and Lisa jumped up and they both went to grab some stuff to clean up the mess. Momma went to the fridge to get some club soda to try to get rid of the odor. She saw the plate on the floor but decided to ask Mandy about it after the mess was cleaned up. The girls cleaned it all up and then Momma started to ask questions. Mandy told her that Shadow stole the meatloaf right out of the fridge and she just couldn’t stop her. Momma looked at Mandy and asked her if that’s how it really happened. Mandy stuck like glue to her story. Momma took a deep breath and asked Mandy again. By now Mandy was getting a little shaky and adding all kinds of fantastic details to the story. Momma told her she was giving her one more chance to tell the truth. Mandy started to cry and told Momma what really happened. Momma just shook her head and took her daughter by her hand. She said to Mandy that little one’s who tell fibs get spanked. Momma went over to the kitchen chairs and sat down. By now Mandy knew that she was in for a whopper doozy spanking.
