Here at the Pennystock Times we focus on pennystocks trading at under $1.00. What is a  pennystock? The term "pennystock" has been used to describe a particlular segment of the securities market. Pennystocks are generaly low priced securities issued by smaller companies. A pennystock is usualy a stock that is priced at less than $5.00 dollars a share but we only focus on ones trading under a dollar. Here are a few things we look for while researching

Volume- What is the stocks daily volume? Sometimes when a stocks volume is low it can be hard to buy or sell the amount of shares that you wish to trade.

News- Is there any recent news that sounds interesting. Everyday we scan through all the OTC BB news to see if there is anything that might be good. Good news can make a penny stock double or even triple in just one day.

Profile- What does the company do? Who are there competetors? Those are just a few things we look for in a company profile.

Chart- What is the 52 week low and high? Is the stock on and uptrend or downtrend? Is there a trend or pattern that it follows? You can learn alot about a stock by just looking at it's chart.

Above is an example stock chart. When trading pennystocks it is best to buy in dips and then sell high. An example of this is shown in the chart above. The red dot stands for when to buy and green stands for when to sell.
