Leaving the Back Ridge Road in No. Penobscot, Windi, Justin and Dad followed the Orland Penobscot Town line to the Montgomery Trail heading West , crossing the Hayne's logging roads to the Great Heath. Crossing the Heath, we then took the Wallamatogas Trail ( ITS #10 south) to the top of Togas Mountain. After a brief rest and glimpse of the spectacular view, ( shown above ) we then headed south past the Penobscot Historical Society and on to Northern Bay Market for a Snack. Leaving Northern Bay Market, we then headed S/E on the Staples farm trail to Wights Pond, crossing Wight's pond and picking up the trail heading East and arriving at Ruth Bowden's Farm, then headed North to pick up the Gus Moore (ole County Rd ) East. Traveling North up 15 to the rifle range, we headed to Dale Hoopers home where we then took the trail leading behind Ronald Howards Farm , North to Toddy Pond, entering the pond at Tom Largay's Camp. Heading North up the lake, we arrived at Lloyd Turner's and David Judkin's Camps where we took the camp road to split rock, taking a left across the blueberry field to the Blossom Farm Trail, Back to our house.
