You will need to bring kitchen utincils. They have a full size bed, refriderators and electric ranges. ** Do I get a telephone in my room?
Yes, is is a little over $20 per month and you cannot make long distance calls on it. You will need a phone card. It is a DSN number.
** Can I bring my spouse over for a visit / for the whole tour?
Here is the real deal. This is a dependent restricted tour. That means that the US Army will not pay to relocate your dependents to South Korea or provide full services to them if they are here. They would be authorized Commissary and PX services, medical and dental services would be emergency only. Children would be able to use DOD schools only of space is available, a situation not seen in South Korea for a number of years. If you are housed on a room by yourself, you are authorized to have your dependents spend up to a maximum of thirty days per year with you in your quarters. This is contingent upon approvial of your chain of command. You must be approved first before your dependents can reside in your room with you. If you bring them with you, be prepared to pay for the costs of a hotel room for approximately two weeks as that is how long it takes to expedite that approvial. Quarters on the economy are sparse, expensive and difficult to get. Basically, it can be done but be prepared for the worst.
** What is the TV Channels like?
Just like the USA only less to chose from and some of the stations are hard to understand unless you speak Korean. NBC, ESPN, MTV, CMTV, Discovery, AFKN (Local DOD Station), Cartoon Network, HBO, Cinimax, TNT, and several others.

No.
** Is there internet access?
Yes, when you get here, you can get an email address and internet access It is only at 9600 baud right now but rummor has it that 28,800 baud will be here soon. I use IPhone instead of the telephone and it works great and it is free! Check with your local Internet Service Provider and they will have more information about it.

** Is there a town near by?
YES! A very nice town. Chun Chon is considered to be a resort town and it is. Prices are a little high, but the people are nice and it is not a typical military town. They do not need our money. (Although they will gladly take it). There is a lot to do right here in town. There are many Korean Nationals that work on Camp Page and they will be glad to assist you in any questions you have when you get here!
** Where do I go shopping?
Depends what you want. If you need a couple of small things, Camp Page PX or Chun Chon will have it. If you are looking for something specific, then ask around and someone will know where to get a good price. OSAN Air Base is a great place to go shoppiing! Yons San has pretty good shopping too.
